Abstract

This article examines the features of the implementation of the national policy of the USSR in relation to the indigenous peoples of the North in the field of education and healthcare in the Evenk National District of the Krasnoyarsk Kraj up to the 1970s. We used the documents of the Municipal State Institution «Evenk Archive» as the main source for our study. As a result of the analysis of archival materials, the key directions of educational policy in Evenkia are systematized, the integral educational system for training national personnel existing during the Soviet period is shown, the dynamics of the development of the healthcare is described, characterized by strict centralized management, a clear hierarchical system of medical institutions and the concentration of resources
