- Abstract
Human resource management (HRM) digitization is currently receiving more attention in academic discourses. Russian industrial enterprises that have started digital transformation are facing challenges due to a lack of knowledge in adopting digital solutions in the HRM system. This article provides an overview of scientific and applied research related to the digitization of human recourses and the role of digital technologies in HRM of Russian industrial enterprises. The paper clarifies the necessity to consider the readiness of various employee categories and the availability of adequate conditions at the enterprise while developing and implementing digital solutions in HRM. Based on an exploratory study using semi-structured interviews with managers of 32 Russian industrial companies in the Moscow and Perm regions, the authors reveal that top management, middle management, and specialists of these companies have different assessments of the readiness, risks, and benefits of introducing technological innovations into the HRM system. To study the problems of industrial enterprises while launching and implementing digital HRM solutions, the authors suggest paths for further research
