Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the method of address in I. Chinnov’s book of poems “Score” (1970) as one of the forms of organization of poetic dialogue. An analysis of poems accompanied by dedications allows us to conclude that this technique is cycle-forming within the lyrical ensemble under consideration. So, it performs several semantic functions. Firstly, it contributes to the creation of an image of the dialogue of artists as a form of overcoming the limits of life and death by the power of art. Secondly, it denotes a circle of voices performing the leading parts in the “score” of what can be metaphorically designated by the music of the Russian diaspora in the spirit of the development of the image of the “Parisian note”, which I. Chinnov is considered to have completed. Thirdly, it determines the development of the motive for the search for truth and meaning in the absurdity of the upcoming reality of the twentieth century, with exile, wars and a bet on technological progress
