Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the current trends in social governance in education in the PRC. At present, one of the main tasks of Chinese education is the implementation of the concept of a multicultural Chinese nation on the one hand and preserving the ethnic cultures of the indigenous peoples of China on the other. As a result of the increasing involvement of families, schools, and community in preserving the ethnic culture of the indigenous population, the educational system in China is no longer exclusively a state institution; it is a consequence of the formation of a new type of social governance where a significant role is assigned not only to state bodies but also to public organizations and other forms of social interaction. The article analyzes the role and significance of such basic institutions of social governance in the system of ethnic education as family, school, and community, using the example of the education of Chinese Evenki living in remote areas
