Abstract

The article presents the results of the study of the food culture of the Tungus- Manchu peoples living in the Krasnoyarsk Krai. We are talking about the Evenks, whose number according to the All-Russian census in this region is currently 3625 people. A new author’s definition of the concept of “food culture” is proposed based on the understanding of culture as a process of ideal formation. The representation of the ethnic picture of the world through the cultural practices of the Evenk food culture is considered. It is proved that the traditional food culture of the Evenks consists of several layers and is used as the most important ethnic marker of this ethnocultural group in the physical and virtual spaces where the ethnic manifestation of the Evenks takes place. The traditional food culture of the Evenks also serves as a basis for the formation of modern entrepreneurship, including in the aspects of hotel, tourism, gastronomy and other businesses
