Abstract: The article deals with the problems of Yakut fictitious proper names translation into Russian and English on the material of the Yakut epic poem olonkho Eles Bootur by P.V. Ogotoev. Olonkho belongs to the traditional genre of Yakut folklore. The ways of translation of the epic proper names are analyzed in the article.
