- Abstract
The lack of specialist translators of Russian sign language in higher education institutions, the increasing number of students with hearing disabilities who study inclusively at the level of higher education, the need for this category of students in the most accurate translation of the meanings of educational terms for the full development of educational programs and the Russian verbal language made it possible formulate the problem of developing an educational bilingual dictionary for deaf and hard of hearing students. The aim of the work is to develop the concept of an educational thematic explanatory bilingual dictionary for students with hearing disabilities based on a comparative analysis of existing dictionaries of Russian sign language. A comparative analysis of the materials of the existing Russian Sign Language dictionaries made it possible to identify the advantages of each of the lexicographic sources, to determine the type of a new dictionary, its volume, the criteria for selecting language material and the specifics of its presentation in the developed resource. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the most accurate interpretation of terms can be provided by an electronic educational thematic explanatory bilingual dictionary. The electronic dictionary allows you to quickly find the necessary dictionary entry. The educational dictionary is designed to simultaneously master the material of the discipline and the Russian verbal language, so its volume should be 3–5 thousand dictionary entries. The names and number of thematic groups included in the resource correspond to the curriculum. The dictionary entry must contain a video of the gesture and its variants in Russian sign language or using the dactyl alphabet, an interpretation of the term in Russian verbal language, Russian sign language or calque sign speech, an example of a statement that includes this term
