Abstract

Changes and transformations in modern society have an impact on the basic beliefs of the younger generation. The purpose of the study is to identify the characteristics of adolescents’ self-regulation with different basic beliefs. As a result of the study, it was found that adolescents with a high general level of self-regulation are convinced that current events can be controlled; teenagers who are able to plan, model and quickly change behavior strategies depending on the circumstances believe in the success of any activity and rely on the laws of the world justice; adolescents with flexibility are confident that controlling life events in the context of circumstances will allow them to choose the most effective behavioral strategy. The identified correlations between basic beliefs and self-regulation strategies can be used in the work of practical psychologists involved in the correction and prevention of adolescent self-regulation behavior
